HR Advisor (Perth-based OR Karratha-based):

About the Unit:


The Yara Pilbara Fertilisers' plant is one of the largest ammonia production sites in the world and we have also taken the ammonia process further downstream with the Yara Pilbara Nitrates Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN) plant, a joint venture with Orica.

Together with ENGIE, Yara Pilbara will also build a renewable hydrogen plant to produce renewable ammonia.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities include:

  • End to end recruitment and onboarding, including relocation management
  • Employee offboarding
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objective.
  • Provide support and advice on HR matters
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and practices to align with legislative requirements, industry best practices and Yara International guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining HR systems and databases and contribute to regular reporting.
  • Respond to employee queries.
  • Active participation in workplace committee and engagement with the workforce
  • Promote a psychologically safe environment with a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and employee wellbeing.
  • Assist in resolving employee relations issues conducting investigations and supporting performance management processes.
  • Contributing to the management and planning of the HR budget
  • Travel to Yara's Karratha site, as required (for Perthbased role).

Profile:

  • Extensive experience in a generalist HR Advisor Position
  • Experience within heavy industry, MHF and matrix organisations is desirable
  • Demonstrated problemsolving and conflict resolution in a workplace
  • Ability to engage positively and professionally with all stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Knowledge of SAP or equivalent Computerized Management System
  • Planning, Budgeting and Cost Control processes
  • Fluent English (verbal and written) is essential.
