Duties of the Laboratory Technician include preparing experiments, setting up before classes, cleaning and storing chemicals, materials and equipment afterwards, and ensuring that all equipment is in a good state of repair.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in laboratory duties, preferably in an educational environment
  • Competence and enthusiasm to perform the duties of the role
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and assist teachers and students
  • Availability to work the specified hours during school terms
  • Current knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety requirements
  • Relevant qualifications e.g., Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or Diploma of Laboratory Technology.
