GRACosway is the leading public affairs and strategic communications advisory firm in Australia and New Zealand. We provide expert advice to clients with complex, sensitive government relations and communications challenges. Our multi-disciplinary team of senior consultants offer expertise in public policy and regulation; strategic government engagement; issues and reputation management; transaction communications; investor relations; and media training.

GRACosway is looking for a part-time Associate to join our Canberra office, working on a mix of political, policy and regulatory issues as part of our national team. This casual role would suit someone currently studying at university and offers plenty of variety and room to grow. The person would be able to balance their study commitments with work, and would need to be available for a minimum of 15 hours work per week. There is the opportunity to discuss the possibility of additional hours with the successful candidate.

About the role

As an Associate, you will work with senior colleagues to support GRACosway's clients. A typical day may involve:

  • Preparing briefing materials on political developments.
  • Conducting detailed research on a specific policy issue.
  • Monitoring developments in parliament and media and providing updates to clients.
  • Attending client meetings and providing support with drafting materials.
  • Contributing to external publications, including the weekly Wrap Up.

  • Studying public policy, politics, international relations, media, or a related field.

You have a strong client service ethic, are highly organised, capable of managing a variety of tasks and anticipating the needs of colleagues and clients. This position will be based out of 16 National Circuit, Barton, Canberra.
