About the role
This role is located at St Gabriel School for children with special needs.

The Coordinator is responsible for providing and overseeing programs for children with a disability aged years in Before School Care, After School Care and vacation care.

This is a part time position, 27 hours per week.

Duties

  • Being the Nominated Supervisor and leading staff in the provision of a high quality OSHC and Vacation Care service
  • Regularly evaluating the program to ensure it caters for the interests and needs of school age children and meets the requirements of the 'My Time
  • Our Place' Framework;
  • Advising families about the program, policies and procedures when required;
  • Where appropriate take on the role of Educational Leader within the service, provide guidance, and support to the team on best practice programming;
  • Working on administrative tasks and efficient day to day operation of the service.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications or in working in outside school hours care;
  • Relevant experience working with children with additional /special needs will be highly regarded
  • Skills and experience in team leadership;
  • Completion of the "Identify & Respond to Children and Young People at Risk" certificate;
  • Knowledge of legislation and regulations relevant to Outside School Hours Care and the National Quality Framework as it applies to Outside School Hours Care;
  • Current First Aid certification/CPR certification/Asthma and Anaphylaxis
  • NDIS Worker check
  • Working With Children Check
