ABOUT THE ROLE


Reporting to the Insurance Manager, this role will be involved in supporting various members of the organisation and will liaise with external Fund Administrators, Insurers and other external service providers and stakeholders.

Due to the growth and transformation of the business, this is an initial 12 month fixed-term contract with a strong likelihood to become permanent for the right person.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the existing operational processes and controls, and assist with collaborating with third party service providers to ensure smooth transition to a new operating model;
  • Administer resolution or escalation of insurance incidents ensuring member outcome satisfaction, regulatory obligations are met, and root cause of incidents are identified, mitigated and recorded;
  • Assist team members to overcome complex insurance claims escalated by the Administrator/Insurer and provide satisfactory resolutions to members;
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) input on future change initiatives and system uplift recommendations to ensure optimal member experience and regulatory obligations are achieved; AND
  • Recommend insurance product expertise to encourage the development of holistic operational practices and process improvements for super fund members.

Skills, Experience & Requirements:

  • Tertiary education, preferably with specialisation in finance, business, or law;
  • Previous experience working within a super fund, insurance, trustee or super administrator required ideally 5+ years;
  • RG146 Compliant;
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written;
  • Effective project management skills and experience in delivering outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives preferred; AND
  • Strong insurance expertise and an understanding of remediation programs.
