The Position

Freeman Civil Contracting is actively looking for experienced Civil Estimators and project managers who are eager to join our expanding team.

This role will directly report to the Director.

Your Role

Your contribution will help our team operate smoothly, leading to winning new projects and forming new partnerships.

Your Responsibilities

  • Reviewing contract documents such as scope of works and specifications during the tender stage.
  • Creating lump sum pricing and bill of quantities for various civil, utility, and infrastructure projects using first principle estimates and market quotes.
  • Implementing risk management and safe construction practices when devising construction methodologies and schedules with the construction team.
  • Handling multiple tenders concurrently.
  • Preparing tenders ranging from under $1 million to $5 million.
  • Assessing subcontractor and supplier quotes, as well as negotiating subcontract terms.
  • Estimating and overseeing projects through the construction phase to completion.
  • Supporting the Construction and Commercial Teams in identifying and preparing variations and EOT's per the head contract.

Your Profile

  • Preferred qualifications in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in construction cost planning, tendering, or project delivery across Infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in interpreting drawings.
  • Strong Organizational and Time-Management Skills.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Capability to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills for creating tailored spreadsheets for tenders.
