People & Culture Manager (4 or 5 Days a Week)

Reporting to the CEO who brings extensive experience from the Commerce industry & NFP.

You will sit on the ELT and have 1 direct report in HR, working on the below projects:

  • Strategic Planning-Advise leadership on strategic organisational design and staff needs, identifying trends across the business
groups and proactively propose and lead programs to address these trends.

  • Organisation Development and Workforce Planning
  • Design, consult, coordinate and manage organisationwide workforce planning and development processes that address issues such as organisation structure, job designs, succession planning, workforce development, employee retention and organisational change management.
  • Act as a change agent, develop and guide the organisations capacity to continually adapt.
  • Culture Leadership, Lead and monitor Culture related activities to maintain the purpose and results, support staff
wellness, lead commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.

  • Work, Health, Safety & Wellbeing-Monitor employee health and wellbeing and foster a safe, positive workplace culture through the development of employee workplace safety, health and wellbeing initiatives, programs and strategies.
Partner with Executive Leadership Team to address WHS issues.

  • Employee and Industrial Relations-Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Provide comprehensive, professional HR advice including award and contractual interpretation. Monitor changes and ensure compliance to all relevant industrial relations laws.
  • Liaise with Corporate Services with regards to changes to employment conditions, industrial relations changes
and updates concerning payroll, superannuation and employment law.

  • Provide support, advice and coach managers in all employee relations activities including performance
management conduct and behaviour and grievances.

  • Undertake or manage workplace investigations as required. Liaise with external industrial relations advisors, legal representatives and unions as required, regarding
employee relations issues

  • Manage Induction and onboarding, performance reviews, grievance procedures, performance management, exit
management.

  • Initiate and implement programs to support employee engagement and to foster a performance culture
  • Manage the remuneration review and internal movement process.
  • Maintain and seek to improve HRIS system (ELMO) capabilities and maintain standard operating procedures.

THE CRITERIA
The client is seeking a commercial & experience HRM or Senior HRBP ready to step up into this role.

Ideally you will come from a smaller to medium sized business given the size of the organisation and proven experience on the above projects.


They are seeking a coaching style and a cultural ambassador for the organisation which fit with their values of integrity, accomplish and curious to name a few.


This role would suit a Senior HR lead 4 days a week or a HRM/Senior HRBP for 5 days a week to fit within the salary budget.
