Founded in 2001, the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is Australia's largest human rights organisation providing support to people seeking asylum.
We are an independent not-for-profit organisation whose programs support and empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well being.
We champion the rights of people seeking asylum and mobilise a community of compassion to create lasting social and policy change.

As the Operations and Property Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective coordination of all ASRC facilities, guaranteeing they meet the needs of our programs and services.
Your role will involve designing and implementing efficient operating processes and procedures and coordinating all maintenance requirements.You will oversee the allocation and management of facility space, manage building security and egress, and ensure work, health, and safety risks are minimized across the organization.
This role requires a capable, organised and adaptable person who can handle multiple concurrent tasks efficiently, is a resilient individual who takes ownership, has a passion for high quality work and has a strong attention to detail.
The Operations and Property Manager is a key role at the ASRC and, through collaboration with staff and volunteers across all programs, is tasked with enhancing the operational capacity of the organisation.
The challenge of this role lies in planning for the future of the ASRC, ensuring our sustainability as an organisation, whilst simultaneously responding to the everyday demands in a complex and demanding operating environment.
About You- Demonstrated experience in office and operations management including developing and implementing business systems and processes to support effective operations and facility management
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, with proven ability to collaborate, create partnerships and negotiate favourable outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead and support a team of volunteers.
- Experience managing competing priorities and projects while meeting deadlines and delivering quality results.
- Managing facility and corporate budgets ensuring all financial management
- Experience in promoting OHS legislation and regulations
- A calm, professional and respectful demeanor
Knowledge of policy and issues impacting on people seeking asylum in Australia as well as previous experience working within a not-for-profit environment, would also be advantageous.
