About the role:

This position plays an important role by contributing to Wholesale - Satellite Senior Pricing and Market Insight Manager.


The role's purpose is to lead Satellite product pricing strategy by developing and implement pricing strategies to enhance Satellite Profitability.

You will work closely with Product Marketing and Sales Account Managers to track the movement of price.


You will analyse price change requests from the sales team by evaluating margin impacts, sales volume, and satellite market price level.


  • Tracking Satellite market trends and keeping Optus Satellite pricing up to date.
  • Monitor Satellite competitor pricing movements to formulate satellite growth strategies
  • Evaluate satellite business cases with the Commercial team to ensure return on investment.
  • Conduct financial analysis to determine the effectiveness of pricing strategy by assessing performance of Satellite product / services.
  • Ensure price and margin changes have positive impact to the Satellite AOP targets.
  • Lead AOP and sales forecasting.
  • Accountable for pricing strategies across Satellite Broadcast, Data and Professional service products.
  • Comparing Satellite actual sales vs forecasted sales to measure revenue and EBIT performance

About you:

  • Extensive Product Management experience.
  • Proven ability to establish strategic pricing for Satellite products while maintaining margin on the overall business and to penetrate a very competitive market.
  • To evaluate large business cases while leading the commercial team to understand the risk and impact on the overall satellite portfolio.
  • Ability to think out of the box to form creative pricing strategies.
  • Understand key large satellite contract and how pricing changes have large AOP implications.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Marketing
