We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Health, Safety, and Environment Coordinator to join our clients team.
Your main goal will be to make sure we follow all the necessary rules and regulations, while also encouraging everyone to prioritise safety and take care of the environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environment policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company requirements.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and implement effective controls and corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyze incident reports, accident investigations, and nearmiss data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
- Lead and facilitate the Health, Safety, and Environment Committee, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Promote a positive safety culture by organizing safety campaigns, promoting safety awareness initiatives, and recognizing employees for their contributions to health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Prepare and submit relevant reports to management, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience 5 + years as a Health, Safety, and Environment Coordinator or a similar role, preferably in Construction sector
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent understanding of risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage health, safety, and environment programs.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence employees at all levels.
