EL1 Scrum Master role Objective:


The EL1 Scrum Master will coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the clients Objectives.


Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating and reporting against overall program scope and timelines, using Agile principles.
  • Managing consistent and quality delivery of program milestones and practices across diverse multidisciplinary teams.
  • Supporting overarching program governance against Agency frameworks and escalating concerns, as necessary.
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve program governance, practice, and reporting.
  • Coaching staff in agile frameworks and scrum practices, including coordinating development opportunities.
  • Overseeing the implementation of sprints and ceremonies across multidisciplinary teams, including proactively identifying opportunities and implementing improvements.
  • Guiding development of Scrum Masters across the business to higher practice maturity.
  • Supporting multidisciplinary teams to build a productive environment, where team members have accountability for their products and practices.


The position is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and may be required to represent and negotiate on behalf of the client.
