This opportunity As Data Governance Specialist in the newly established Data and Analytics Centre of Excellence (Co E), you will support the Head of Data Governance and Enablement to establish a company-wide data governance capability to ensure a reliable, accurate, compliant, scalable, and consumable single source of truth.

This will include defining and implementing data policies, standards, frameworks, processes, etc.
You will partner with cross-functional and technical teams across the company to achieve data governance goals.

This will include partnering closely with other functions in the Co E (Data Science, Data Visualisation, Data Engineering and Analytics Delivery & Business Partnering) as well as team members from various business units, IT, and Legal / Compliance teams.

As the Co E serves all parts of TPG Telecom, your work may cover all business units, products, and customer segments.

Responsibilities Support Head of Data Governance and Enablement to lead company-wide data governance – including data quality and data hygiene monitoring and remediation – to ensure a reliable, accurate, scalable, compliant, and consumable single source of truth.

Define, create, implement, and embed data governance policies, standards, frameworks, processes, etc.

Establish and champion data governance best practices, such as data dictionaries, catalogues, and documentation of data assets to ensure they adhere to internal policies and external regulations.

Establish and review business processes and standards for metadata management and compliance.

Provide guidelines for structuring business metadata (e.g., business definitions, security/access levels, data quality rules) and technical metadata (e.g., technical/physical data elements, data lineage)Support implementation and management of metadata management, data lineage and data quality tools Own and be accountable for a portfolio of ongoing and project-based work.

Develop and build partnerships with all other teams in the Co E (Data Science, Data / ML Engineering, Data Visualisation, and Analytics Delivery & Business Partnering).

Develop and build partnerships with stakeholders across the business, including IT, Legal / Compliance, and Commercial teams.
Support an innovative and collaborative culture within your team and the Data and Analytics Co E.

Knowledge and experience University degree in a quantitative discipline, such as economics, statistics, finance, business/commerce, social science, IT, computer science, or engineering, or equivalent experience.

Work experience applying analysis to solve business problems.
This could include a background in management consulting, analytics, customer loyalty, data-driven marketing, or a similar function.

Relevant experience in data governance, compliance, legal, privacy, information security, or related area Knowledge of Meta Data Management technology for data governance, privacy and security regulations and technologies.

Ability to compare available and emerging technologies in the data governance and privacy space and make recommendations to senior members of the team.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including business stakeholders and technical teams.

Experience developing relationships and partnering with multiple business and technical stakeholders.
Excellent business acumen and judgment.
