We are currently seeking an Apprentice Program Manager to oversee, coordinate, and manage Coates' on-site Apprentices and Trade Upgrades learning programs, ensuring a seamless transfer of skills and knowledge within the organization.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Guiding, coaching, and mentoring Apprentices and Trade Upgrade personnel
  • Offering mentorship to on-site apprentices and trade upgrade staff, providing them with advice and assistance as they progress through their programs
  • Assisting in the execution of Training Contracts with the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN)
  • Managing apprentice and trade upgrade staff logbooks to ensure accurate recording of practical work, meeting the necessary documentation standards for the trade
  • Staying informed on emerging best practices in VET Pathways and industry benchmarks
  • Supporting BU leaders in implementing rotations within the workplace and off-site locations to ensure apprentices and trade upgrade staff gain relevant skills and knowledge related to their qualification-based training
  • Promoting a Safety First, Zero Harm culture – advocating for safety among colleagues and clients

What you'll bring to the role

  • Preferred possession of a trade qualification and experience in a relevant discipline - such as Electrician, Mechanical Fitter, or Plant Mechanic
  • Prior industry experience in a similar role
  • Desirably, holding a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
