Job Description Summary:

The Commercial Programs Manager role will be responsible for the delivery of key programs that contribute to our orders and sales growth.


These programs include but are not limited to:

  • Variable Compensation design, operations, and reporting,
  • Channel Partnership operations management,
  • Tradein pricing and sale of assets,
  • Executing commercial training events,


The role will require strong numeric and analytical skills, a high degree of organization and planning, an ability to influence, independent and group work, and overall execution of commercial programs.

The role will also be responsible for producing regular reports with essential performance metrics to support the commercial leaders in managing their teams.


This role can be be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane and reports to the Commercial Excellence and Channels leader.

Key Responsibilities:

Variable Compensation Program (VCP):

  • Be the primary point of contact for front line sales and product teams, commercial leaders, regional VC leadership and IT team for GE Healthcare Variable Compensation program.
  • Ensure accuracy in the calculation of quarterly payments.
  • Recommend any changes to the programs' design based on best practice and data analysis that will drive an increased commercial performance.
  • Administer special incentive programs if applicable throughout the year.
  • Manage to resolution any disputes in payments to VC participants.
Channel Partner Operations

  • Be the primary face of GE Healthcare to a group of sales channel partners that are an important part of our gotomarket design.
  • Ensure commission payment claims are processed to agreed timeframes.
  • Ensure contract documentation is kept up to date.
Trade-in management

  • Be the primary contact for GE Healthcare for our tradein partners.
  • Identify process improvements, both in and out GEHC for tradein requests and sale of tradedin assets.
  • Ensure required compliance/contract documentation is in place and is kept up to date.

Executing company-wide commercial training events:

  • Company wide commercial training typically occurs in Q1 and Q3 and last 23 days offsite.
  • Make a significant contribution to biannual commercial training events by assisting in the design, planning, logistics and execution for approx. 170 commercial employees.

Other Growth Initiatives:

  • Examples of these growth programs are Listen & Lead (lead generation incentive scheme from our service field engineers), designing processes and performance metrics for Options & Upgrade campaigns, establishing standard campaign execution process for End of Guaranteed Service (EOGS) initiatives.

Core expectations:

  • This is a hybrid working role that combines office and working from home. It is expected that a minimum of 50% of work time is spent at a relevant GEHC office.
  • Whilst work can typically be completed during normal office hours there will be occasions where you are required to work outside of these times. For example, to attend regional or international calls.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Science, Engineering or IT background.
  • Lean six sigma certifications will be highly regarded

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working and delivering commercial/sales programs or commercial operations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills ability to analyse, clean and transform data
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with CRM platforms (e.g. SFDC) and data to build business metrics and strategies
  • 3+ years of experience in a commercial environment
  • Experience in using report building tools or ability to learn
  • Experience in coordinating data cleanup projects
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking with the ability to change concepts into compelling commercial arguments
  • Proven ability to work successfully managing crossfunctional and crosscountry team environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to manage self and tasks in an appropriate manner
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • High level of flexibility and passion/engagement
  • A calm and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Strong interpersonal, inclusiveness & listening skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills
