Reporting to the
Workshop Supervisor, the
New Machine Assembler will be responsible for assisting the Plant Mechanics in machine rebuilds and component change outs on Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment.


We encourage those with a mechanical aptitude or exposure working on various mobile plant equipment from any industries including transportation, mining, engineering, agriculture, or vehicle dealerships to apply.

Ongoing training included which could lead into an Apprenticeship or a trade upgrade depending on overall performance and availability.

Location:
Welshpool

Roster:7D7O7N7O (7 days, 7off, 7 nights, 7 off) 12.5 hours each day.

To be successful the following is required:

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude or mechanical experience, Heavy or Light Vehicle.
  • Exposure working in a similar service environment or mining.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Motivated problemsolving skills.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Be well aligned and exhibit WesTrac's SPARC values.

Preferred but training maybe provided for the right person:

  • Forklift Ticket, Basic Rigger, Dogging, Working at Heights.
