The Opportunity

Our Mining Assembly division is actively seeking motivated individuals to join the team in the position of Workshop HD Fitters at our new state-of-the-art workshop based in our Forrestdale Branch. This opportunity will have you working in a team of mining assembly employees on the new machine builds. Your main focus will be to assemble, maintain, and repair a wide range of mining and construction equipment to customer specifications and provide quality diagnostic and general maintenance services in a professional and timely manner.

You will also be responsible for:

  • The repair and maintenance of both new and used equipment.
  • Assembling our range of Mining Equipment EX EX8000-7 Excavators & EH EH5000-3 Haul Trucks.
  • Ensuring all work carried out is performed safely.
  • Completing and submitting all relevant paperwork and reports.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment following the company's 5S standards.
  • Liaising closely with mining assembly supervisors and leading hands to ensure customers receive exactly what they have ordered and delivery targets are met.
  • Assisting the mining assembly leading hand with related duties.

To excel in this role, you should:

  • Embrace and drive the HCA Safety Culture, making safety the top priority.
  • Have relevant Australian (or Australian recognized) Mobile Plant, Fitter Machinist, or Heavy Diesel trade qualifications. Alternatively, be an Experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic interested in transitioning into the mining and construction machinery sector or have recently finished a mobile plant apprenticeship and aspire to learn about OEM machinery.
