About the Role
The role is responsible for planning and implementing security measures to protect computer systems, networks and data according to the information security policies and framework in line with NSW Government's requirements and guidelines.
About the NSW Electoral Commission
The New South Wales Electoral Commission delivers trusted and independent systems, processes, oversight and engagement that support democracy in New South Wales.

Essential requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent professional experience and/or industry certification.
- Experience and understanding on security architecture of cloud systems such as Office 365, Salesforce and Azure and experience with design and implementation of security architecture for perimeter firewalls, IPS/IDS systems and corporate networks.
- Politically neutral with no affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/campaigners.
- Satisfactory criminal record check result.
How to apply
- Describe the situation you have had when you identified a gap in information security measures. How did you communicate, plan and implement suggested controls to address it? (maximum of 300 words).
- Describe your involvement in investigating a significant security incident. Explain your role, tasks you performed and outcome of the investigation (maximum of 300 words).
You should include a covering letter summarising your skills, knowledge and work experience, along with an up-to-date resume which clearly detail your skills and experience as relevant to this role.

The selection process will include a range of assessment techniques to assist in determining your suitability for the role.

A talent pool may be created from this recruitment action for ongoing and temporary roles of the same work classification that may become available for filling over the next 18 months.
**The NSW Electoral Commission requires all workers to be vaccinated for COVID-19. You must have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination by the commencement of your engagement or prior to first attending at a NSWEC location. You must produce evidence of your vaccination status for inspection when you attend for work. You may also be required to provide evidence of booster vaccine doses, in due course, and any such arrangements will be notified to you separately.
