About the role
Eastern Health is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Allied Health Assistant to join our Continuing Care team aligned to Allied Health service delivery.
This Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant offers great opportunity working closely with the broader multidisciplinary team in delivering diverse patient care.
The Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant will be actively involved in regular clinical supervision aligned to Eastern Health expectations and guidelines and be a member of the Allied Health Assistant workforce across the continuum of care including participation with the Eastern Health AHA Professional Development program.
About you
To be successful in this role you should possess:
Essential:
Completion of Certificate IV (Allied Health Assistant) from a registered training organisation, or recognised equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Grade 2 Allied Health Assistant Well-developed verbal & written communication skills to enable effective liaison with multidisciplinary team including effective clinical handover
Well-developed clinical competence and sound theoretical knowledge base relevant to the workplace
The ability to receive delegation of tasks from supervisory staff and work effectively in an inter-disciplinary/multidisciplinary team
Desirable:
Experience working in the public health or disability sector

Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.

Selection Criteria
Essential:
Has completed a minimum of three years of experience (full time equivalent) as a Grade 2 AHA.

Has completed Certificate 4 (AHA) or equivalent

Public Health or Disability Sector experience
