About Mental Health Services at Albury Wodonga Health (AWH)
Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is established in the twin cities of Albury and Wodonga, between Sydney and Melbourne.
Our dedicated team of nearly 3,000 staff supports a population of 250,000 people throughout North-East Victoria and Southern NSW.
Our extensive network encompasses two primary hospital campuses, and an additional 22 sites, delivering a diverse range of emergency, community, mental health, allied health and sub-acute services.
AWH is an Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, providing mental health treatment, care and support, including delivering Alcohol and Other Drugs services.
We deliver 10 specialised community-based programs, along with three acute care services and three facilities dedicated to recovery and rehabilitation.
We also provide services supporting families coping with parental mental illness and facilitating connections to carer consultants.Our Mental Health and Wellbeing teams comprise mental health clinicians with a background in nursing, occupational therapy, social work and psychology, all of whom have experience in helping people through a range of therapies.

About the RoleWe require a suitably qualified Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) to join our team at Kerferd Unit in Wangaratta.
The CNC (Mental Health Acute Inpatient) is an advanced practice role providing consultation to the Nurse Unit Manger (NUM) and the bed based team regarding specialist programs within the mental health acute inpatient settings.
The CNC possesses superior consolidated clinical nursing skills upholding best practice nursing care and recovery standards.The CNC role collaborates with the NUM, other nurse educators, senior nurses, and the extended multidisciplinary team to focus on integrating care and acute inpatient nursing core skills development, particlaurly related to vulenerbale and high risk consumers presenting with high level needs of acuity and behavioural disturbance.
The CNC provides high level advise to the NUM regarding the DHHS initiatives and frameworks and actively contibutes to team planning and clinical practice development activities.
These initiatives currently include Safewards, Mental Health Intensice Care Framewors and Reducing Restrictive Interventions.Employment Type:

Candidates relocating may be eligible for grants of up to $20,000 to cover expenses such as removalist, travel fees, accommodation costs, school fees, etc.
