About you
As our
_Accounts Payable Officer_, you'll call upon your extensive experience and general knowledge of accounting principles to perform end to end Accounts Payable processing for the business. Drawing on your ability to prioritise work along with a pro-active and can-do attitude, you'll meet strict deadlines ensuring payments are in line across the college.
You will also demonstrate:
- diploma in accounting or related discipline
- ability to work with high volume transactions, high attention to detail with excellent interpersonal, customer-service and communication skills
- experience in MS Office particularly Excel and Word
- ability to work with and support non-finance team members and managers
- Strong work ethic and team player
About the opportunity
Reporting to the
_Finance Manager,_ you'll provide support and guidance to business users with the Procure to Pay process and cycle where required. You'll build and maintain good working relationships while engaging with the business and supporting the payables function across the College.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- maintaining vendor master data in a timely manner as per the guidelines
- assisting with Accounts Payable related enquiries in timely manner, with escalation to team manager if required.
- processing withholding tax payments and lodgements with respect to contractor payments
- managing the travel / taxi voucher process and new AP projects and process improvements
