Line Management:

Front Office Assistant positions at Forde Campus are responsible in the first instance to the Executive Assistant to the Principal, The Chief Operating Officer and ultimately the Principal.

***Burgmann Anglican School is an Early Childhood to Year 12 School with campuses located at Gungahlin and Forde.


The school prides itself on its innovative and creative approach to curriculum and education and its strong sense of community and pastoral care of the students and their families and the staff of the school.

The school has a strong link with the Gungahlin Anglican Church which shares facilities and resources with the school.

Duties
Front Office Assistants may be required to perform a range of duties including but not limited to:

  • General Front Office and reception duties including answering phones, taking and delivering messages and greeting staff, students, parents and visitors to the campus
  • Answer queries (as appropriate)
  • First Aid (including attending to cleanliness and hygiene of sick bay area and management of medications and associated records)
  • General administrative tasks as required (such as updating Excel spreadsheets ordering supplies and arranging maintenance of photocopier/s)
  • Maintain student medical records in Synergetic
  • Student absences and late notes and ensure completion of student attendance roll marking
  • Management of lost property
  • Other tasks as required

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both adults and students
  • A warm, friendly and empathetic communication style
  • A current senior first aid certificate (which must be maintained)
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and to remain calm under pressure
  • Professional presentation and excellent phone manner
  • Sound administrative skills
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office Products and systems used for administrative purposes
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
  • Willingness to undertake a range of duties as requested

Terms and Conditions
The successful applicant will be employed under the _Independent School ACT (Support and Operational Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2021._
