About the Role
The Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences (MSPS) Education and Research Graduate Researcher Associate (GRAA) will engage in both teaching and research activities. The role includes teaching undergraduate tutorials aligned with their research interests and supporting diverse research projects within one of MSPS's research hubs. This position offers opportunities to enhance skills in science communication and gain valuable experience in both the educational and research domains of psychology.Your responsibilities will include:
Teaching into one second-year subject each in Semester 1 and Semester 2. Marking into one second-year subject each in Semester 1 and Semester 2. Engage in relevant tutorial preparation as required and directed. Participate in tutorial briefings and relevant academic meetings. Participate in tutor training and other relevant professional development. Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will excel in contributing positively to both education and impactful research, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. They will be committed to personal and professional development, uphold respectful behavior, and contribute to a diverse and inclusive workplace, while being a current University of Melbourne graduate research student in the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences.
You will also:
Currently be enrolled as a University of Melbourne student undertaking a graduate research degree (Doctor of Philosophy or other research doctorate, Master of Philosophy, and Masters by research) in the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences and have passed their confirmation and are making satisfactory progress in their course or who are otherwise approved by their Head of School Have the ability to engage positively in learning and the professional and career development of self and others have the ability to contribute positively, both individually and as part of a team, to educating, inspiring and supporting studentsFor further information regarding responsibilities and requirements, please refer to the attached PD.
