The Opportunity


This is an exciting opportunity for someone currently working in HR/People Operations or if you are wanting to gain exposure to improving how the People team adheres to internal and external forces such as legislation, regulations and improving safety with proactive improvements and quick resolutions.


  • Lead the delivery across the People team on human resources policies, guides and processes and lifting
education and maturity in this space

  • Administration of all WHS related activities, reporting, compliance and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the USM workplace and working environment
  • Supporting the Chair of the WHS Committee in preparing for the committee, taking actions and minutes.
  • Administration of Workcover cases and return to work coordination, by facilitating rehabilitation of injured workers ensuring a smooth return to work process.
  • Represent People on key Diversity programs such as RAP
  • Help lead us into offering a more selfservice support to our leaders and people.
About you

  • Previous experience in a Human Resources or related field with policy development
  • Experience in WH&S and Return to Work coordination, highly desired
  • Understanding of HR legislation or risk and governance frameworks beneficial
  • Making continuous improvements in policies and processes that are employee centric and inclusive to help the business to make informed decisions,
  • Exploring new ways of doing things, being prepared to be nimble and agile while ensuring alignment with our culture and values,
  • Focussing on the employee experience and what will truly add value, while helping to drive a culture of self service and empowerment and
  • Proactively engaging and managing key stakeholders
