One Solution Recruitment is seeking two full-time temp, Business Improvement & Support Officers for a St Peters Depot in Inner West Sydney.

Their key duty is to provide comprehensive business support.

With an emphasis on excelling in stakeholder engagement and collaboration you will facilitate and contribute to the achievement of key improvement initiatives in the team/Division.

You will coordinate and support the implementation of business excellence framework and principles and provide effective business support, project management, corporate reporting and associated administrative functions.

You will lead the development, improvement and maintenance of business systems and processes within the team to deliver effective services.

You will contribute to the management team achieving its targets and commitments against the team's performance plans and Council's Operational and Strategic Plans.

You will facilitate partnerships across Council and help solve problems and resolve issues.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience providing business improvement support and developing improvement initiatives in a technical service environment
  • Knowledge & skills in contemporary business systems, process development and documentation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to self-manage a varied workload, organise priorities, meet deadlines and take initiative.
  • Well-developed ICT skills including experience in using technologies and corporate systems in a service environment and ability to learn new systems and provide guidance and instruction to staff in their use.
  • Highly developed interpersonal & communication skills (written & oral). Ability to engage staff and stakeholders and work collaboratively and establish effective networks.
  • Ability to design and prepare marketing and public engagement material for a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Flexible attitude to responsibilities and work hours.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Demonstrated appreciation of the complexity of Local Government, in particular the social, political and legal frameworks within which it operates.
  • Understanding of, or experience with, the Australian Business Excellence framework.
  • Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence
