The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Key Account Manager to join our Healthcare Systems & Technology team in Newcastle NSW. The product range includes Patient Support Services (Hillrom Smart beds and surfaces) and Front Line Care (Welch Allyn patient monitoring, diagnostic cardiology, vision care, and physical exam devices).

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will play a vital role in driving revenue growth and profitability across all assigned accounts, new and existing. In this position, you will utilize your effective leadership skills within the territory to implement sales strategies, acquire new business, retain existing business, and enhance the market presence of our product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate prices within defined schedules and guidelines as needed
  • Attend relevant corporate events such as meetings and conferences
  • Address customer complaints promptly, coordinating with Management, Customer Service, and Field Service to ensure customer satisfaction for every order
  • Support and engage in sales promotions and marketing activities as necessary
  • Conduct training sessions for hospital staff and company employees on new products, ensuring technical proficiency through in-service presentations, one-on-one training, peer education, and information provision in consultation with the product manager
  • Actively engage in the clinical environment by providing technical consultations as necessary
  • Demonstrate excellent territory management in terms of salesforce, organization, administration, expense planning, and control
  • Keep the CRM system updated for effective reporting
  • Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with relevant Work Health and Safety (OH&S) legislation

Key Requirements of the role:

  • Hold a degree in Medical Science, Healthcare, Business, Management, or related fields
  • 3-5 years' experience in a commercial/sales role within Medical Devices is advantageous
  • Knowledge and application of effective selling skills, including value-added selling techniques and Key Account Management, is preferred
  • Strong comprehension of the Hospital and Healthcare system
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Responsible for achieving targets and providing exceptional customer service
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with others
  • Willingness to travel interstate when necessary
