About the role
We have a new opportunity for an Electrical Compliance Officer to join Queensland Rail on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for managing and upkeeping a high level of compliance with our electrical work on Queensland Rail Assets that comply with all relevant industry legislation and standards.

You will support the wider team by providing expert level advice/ knowledge and also keep high quality records of works completed and team competencies.


Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include;

  • Complete inspections on works and document/ report all findings in a clear and concise way
  • Undertake continuous monitoring and scanning of maintenance activities to detect nonconformances
  • Coordinate on behalf of SEQ Facilities planned 2nd and 3rd line assurance activities to be conducted
  • Provide assistance and advice to maintenance teams on compliance activities
  • Provide feedback and support to both the Facilities Process and Documentation Officers to improve documented processes and storage of compliance records
  • Strive to improve our processes by recommendations

About you

  • Hold a valid Qld Driver's license
  • Be in possession of an Electrical Mechanical license
  • Substantial knowledge of maintenance practices and in particular to relevant Legislation, Codes, Standards, Queensland Rail governance requirements and local processes
  • Sound skill in undertaking compliance and assurance activities including audits and inspections
  • Good problem solving, analytical and decisionmaking skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
