About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Embryologist to join a small team of 3 other Embryologists who are passionate and committed to providing the best outcome for their patients using advanced technologies within their field.

The clinic is located at the Gold Coast. Standard clinic hours are 8am to 4.30pm however you may be required to start as early as 6am. Weekend roster would be one in 3 weekends.

You will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory procedures related to Clinical Embryology and Andrology diagnostic services under the supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor. Your daily duties will include but not limited to:

  • Perform standard embryology procedures, including IVF, intra-cytoplasmic insemination via ICSI, embryo transfer, embryo grading, oocyte denudation.
  • Andrology procedures (analysis and preparation) for IUI, IVF, ICSI
  • Daily equipment checks, calibration and maintenance
  • Preparation of dishes, culture medias and solutions
  • Manual handling of all gametes and embryos
  • Process human gametes, embryos or tissue for cryopreservation.
  • Communicating with patient via phone and email to provide updates.
  • Maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures and results.
  • Ensuring all procedures are performed in line with standard operating procedures and RTAC Code of Practice.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will be expected to have the following:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Medical Science, Biomedical Science or related Degree. Masters of Clinical Embryology is highly desirable.
  • At least five years' experience in an IVF laboratory.
  • Be motivated, with high attention to detail.
  • Share in the laboratory weekend and public holiday roster.
  • Must have a drivers' license and car and be available for on call.
