About the role


Reporting to the Manager - Research Data and Statistics, the Research Assistant will undertake and assist with all research related tasks including report writing, ethics related activities, data collection, participant recruitment, and the production of publications.


To be successful in this role you will be passionate about engaging with audiences and proactively engaging with internal and external stakeholders.


Role responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of progress reports
  • Assist with literature / systematic reviews
  • Data collection and entry
  • Assist with the preparation of articles, reports, and presentations
  • Assist with planning and operational systems to support management of the student program

About you
To be successful in the role you will ideally have:

  • Tertiary qualification and relevant experience
  • Preferably completion of Honours Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Psychology or other Health-Related Discipline.
  • Knowledge of conducting health research
  • Effective user of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint & Endnote.
  • Experience writing literature reviews, qualitative and/or quantitative research methodology
  • Knowledge of mental health disorders (desirable, not essential)
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
  • Selfmotivated, enthusiastic and committed to achieving results in a flexible, small team environment
