ABTechnologies is a leading Managed Services Provider based in Brisbane, operating nationwide. As one of the prominent MSPs in Queensland, we cater to numerous clients and manage over 3000 endpoints in the SME sector. Our services include IT support, monitoring, maintenance, consultancy, project services, and cloud infrastructure. Due to continuous growth, we are seeking a Project Engineer to join our dynamic managed services team.

The Role

The Project Engineer holds a crucial position as a Senior Systems and Network Engineer within our team of experienced IT Professionals. Responsibilities include scoping, planning, implementing, and overseeing client IT projects with a key emphasis on security and cloud solutions. Building strong client relationships and facilitating the adoption of cutting-edge technologies like M365 deployments, Teams Voice, and Azure Virtual Desktop solutions are central to the role.

Responsibilities

  • Senior level technical service delivery
  • Assist in scoping and planning client IT projects
  • Technical professional services (project) delivery
  • Client engagement at consultancy level
  • R&D of technical design architecture, implementation, and deployment
  • Coordination of technical activities with internal and client stakeholders
  • Documentation of technical framework and implemented solutions
  • Coordination with third party vendors and solution providers
  • Development of training and technical handover to internal support teams

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive experience in Microsoft Server systems, Azure cloud solutions, and contemporary security standards. A background of 7-10 years in ICT is typically required, with exposure to MSP operations being advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft, Office 365, Virtualization, and networking solutions like Cisco and Barracuda is essential.

Industry certifications and continuous personal development are highly valued. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Azure is crucial for success.

As a Project Engineer, your business acumen is as vital as your technical expertise. Managing client expectations and demonstrating leadership within the organization are key requirements. Effective communication skills are a must.
