The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) is Australia's premier training ground for future leaders and practitioners in the dramatic arts.

Located at Kensington in Sydney, it is a Centre of excellence in education and training.

NIDA is unique in the world for its practice-based and industry-relevant training in the range that it offers which includes Acting, Design, Costume, Properties and Objects, Technical Theatre and Stage Management, Scenic Construction, Writing for Performance, Directing and Cultural Leadership.


The Opportunity


You will be joining NIDA Theatres, a team passionately dedicated to the delivery of numerous internally and externally produced shows and events.

The Front of House Services Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and smooth delivery of NIDA FOH Services.

The primary objective of the role is to provide the efficient administration of the casual FOH team and assists with the management of the FOH operations to ensure an excellent customer experience.


Reporting directly to the FOH and Events Manager and working alongside NIDA Theatres team members, this role will require excellent administrative skills and a high level of customer service, making sure that the casual FOH team is effectively engaged and supported, and the required level of events staff is retained.

The role also provides coordination of all the FOH retail operations, and the procedures and processes associated with the safe and efficient management of the FOH operations.

This position will require availability between the hours of 8am-6pm Monday to Friday, and occasionally on weekends. Flexi time and time in lieu arrangements will be offered.

**Requirements

About You**To be successful in this role you will have excellent organization and administrative skills and demonstrated experience in casual staff administration, with a working knowledge of staff rostering and scheduling systems.


It is also essential that you have the ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines whilst remaining calm under pressure, as well as the ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions while being willing to take initiative where appropriate.

Previous experience in the hospitality and retail industry will be highly regarded. You will have a valid RSA and Working With Children Check or you will be willing to obtain one.
