About the RoleThe Bench Clerk role reports to the Manager, Bench Clerks and is responsible for providing high level administrative frontline services for the Tribunal.
The Bench Clerk will:
- Provide support to VCAT Tribunal Members and customers in preparation for and during hearings, including management of hearing rooms and associated technology resources where required.
- Support the wider VCAT operations through the completion of assigned administrative tasks.
- Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders including customers, colleagues, management, VCAT Members and other service users.
- Be a highly organised, committed, and resilient team player
- Possess strong interpersonal skills to develop positive relationships with external stakeholders
- Have ability to plan and prioritise tasks in a fastpaced environment with good attention to detail
- Experienced in Microsoft Office and quick to familiarise yourself with new databases and systems.
