We are seeking an experienced Civil Quality Advisor to join our clients team and work on a major road construction project in Brisbane for the Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR).

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a high-profile project that will have a significant impact on the transportation infrastructure of Brisbane.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and maintain the project Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with relevant standards, specifications and client requirements
  • Review and approve project documentation, including technical specifications, construction plans, and designs
  • Develop and implement projectspecific quality plans and procedures
  • Conduct quality audits and inspections of work activities, materials and equipment to ensure compliance with the QMS
  • Ensure nonconformances are identified and addressed in a timely manner, and root cause analysis is conducted to prevent recurrence
  • Ensure that corrective and preventive actions are tracked, implemented and verified
  • Conduct regular training and awareness sessions on the QMS for project staff and contractors
  • Provide support and advice to project staff and contractors on qualityrelated matters
  • Monitor and report on quality performance to the Project Manager and senior management
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits as required.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or tertiary qualifications
  • At least 57 years of experience as a Quality Advisor in civil construction projects, preferably in road construction. At least two years on DTMR projects.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, including Workplace Health and Safety
  • Experience in conducting quality audits and inspections
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
