About Your New Role


As Head of Planning you'll have the opportunity to build your own talented team of strategists, growing a department that is known as the go-to team for consumer insights, with a depth of expertise around what drives consumer behaviour and a deeply collaborative, connected, and integrated approach between strategy, creative and digital, leveraging all of our capabilities to deliver strategies and initiatives that meet the client needs and drive consumer behaviour.


Broadly, you'll be responsible for:

Innovation & Growth:

  • Driving strategic growth plans for clients.
  • Providing unique business growth innovations and strategies.
  • Pushing industry boundaries to improve ROI.

Thought Leadership:

  • Delivering insights and strategies across for our clients.
  • Sharing expertise on the retail sector, competitors, and marketing strategies.
  • Championing growth, innovation, and marketing science.

People Management:

  • Leading multidisciplinary experts for exceptional client results.
  • Fostering an inclusive team culture with autonomy and accountability.
  • Mentoring and coaching to enhance professional standards and client relationships.

Business Management:

  • Balancing client and business needs for sound decisionmaking.
  • Managing team performance and utilisation.
  • Collaborating as a member of the agency's Senior Leadership Team.

What we'd like to see from you:

  • Intellectually curious, creatively empathetic and technologically adept.
  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience in planning, strategy and related business, marketing / communications experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in retail and consumer sectors, with a deep understanding of those sectors, consumer moments, behaviours and channels.
  • Executive level communication and engagement capability, with a passion for helping businesses transform and grow.
  • Demonstrable history of building business partnerships and relationships.
  • Deeply collaborative style, partnering with clients, business teams, centres of excellence and partners to ensure cutthrough with consumers.
  • Demonstrated success in developing brands and delivering them to market.
  • Deeply conceptual thinker with the ability to make concepts a reality.
