Our Queensland Government client is seeking to engage an experienced
Document Writer.

You will be responsible for providing high level and confidential support including the coordination and control of correspondence, policy and procedures, and training material, including liaison with state and regional staff on matters requiring direction, information or functional support to meet organisational objectives.

This role will be working within the ICT Delivery Branch, reporting to the Executive Manager, Business Systems.

This is an initial contract starting ASAP till 30 June 2023 with potential to extend, based in Albion.

As the Document Writer, you will:

  • Assist in the development of documentation, training material and processes ensuring alignment with documentation management procedures.
  • Identify and implement documentation changes as part of system enhancements.
  • Maintain and update documentation that support the systems, ensuring quality assurance and timeframes are met and processes comply with policies, standards, procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, briefs, submissions, and other correspondence in accordance with organisational requirements.
  • Provide coordination and support to staff to ensure a collaborative approach to organisational planning and recommend continuous improvement strategies to meet business and operational requirements.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders and communicate outcomes of documentation management processes or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide backup for help desk system functions and administration support, and ensure tasks are completed within defined service levels.
  • Experience with provision and preparation, review and quality assurance of written correspondence and training material.
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to consult, negotiate and influence a broad crosssection of stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in business and technology integration for ICT lead projects.
  • Demonstrated understanding best practice ICT frameworks and methodologies, including PRINCE and/or QGCIO project management methodologies and ITIL service management framework.
