About the opportunity:

Based in Moorebank, The Senior Technical Manager will oversee technical deliverables across national operational sites, including Baking and Grocery sites. Responsibilities include guiding site Technical Managers to ensure consistent application of process standards and frameworks for current and new product development and commercialization across Australia. This role involves establishing and managing process frameworks to uphold optimum product quality and consistent outcomes.

Specifically, you will:

  • Lead the development of functional technical expertise within the organization
  • Drive change management initiatives to facilitate seamless collaboration between Operations and R&D for innovative projects
  • Establish a motivated, successful team (6 members), prioritizing talent development and fostering a high-performance culture
  • Oversee Operations and Quality strategies to consistently enhance process control for improved product quality and yield uniformity
  • Create process maps and continuous improvement strategies to boost performance and uniformity at Bakery and Grocery Sites
  • Devise tactics to implement innovation projects within set timelines and quality criteria
  • Supervise Benchmarking, Trends, and Tracking of ingredients from inception to final products
  • Conduct process control training programs to enhance technical competencies across all sites, especially among frontline leadership teams and staff

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated end-to-end operations experience (mandatory)
  • FMCG background (Technical Baking experience highly valued)
  • Technical/Process Engineering background
  • Proven track record in process enhancement methodologies
  • Experience aligned with GF's technical and leadership standards
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to lead multifaceted teams (mandatory)
