About the Role


You will be trained to undertake mask fit testing to meet the requirements of the Australian Standard, Department of Health and WorkSafe Guidance.


Duties for the position include:

  • Undertake Respiratory Fit Testing
  • Undertake recording reporting and evaluation related to respiratory mask fit testing and respiratory risk
  • Support the administration, implementation and evaluation of the SVHM Respiratory Protection Program administration tasks for the Respiratory Protection Program


The classification for this position will be HS4 ($83,657.60 per annum pro rata, or an hourly rate of $42.33 plus casual loading).


Your Contribution- Demonstrated skills to effectively organise and plan in line with frameworks and methodologies required to implement a respiratory protection program Strong analytical and problem solving skills- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as to contribute effectively as a participative team member within a multidisciplinary team environment- Tertiary qualification in health or science e.g.

Health and Safety, Occupational Hygiene, Nursing, Allied Health, Respiratory Science, Applied Science preferred but not essential- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About Health, Safety and Wellbeing Department


The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Department is responsible for ensuring that the organisation complies with OHS legislation and that the policies and procedures that are in place at SVHM workplaces, involve the health, safety and welfare of all workers.

This is achieved with a multidisciplinary team including OHS, Injury Management, Move Smart (patient manual handling), Aggression Prevention, Wellbeing, Emergency Management and Respiratory Protection.
