Position Title Infrastructure Manager Accountable To Executive General Manager - Technology Direct Reports Infrastructure Team Location National Operations Centre - Eight Mile Plains


As an Infrastructure Manager your role to plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation, and connectivity of computer systems and network infrastructure to ensure the stable operation of the organisation's IT assets.

This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimising all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links. This role is also responsible for cloud, data centre, security systems, telephony and other electronic infrastructure.

The Infrastructure Manager is required to create a strategic plan for the organisations Infrastructure that aligns to the IT Strategy.

› Establish a clear strategic direction for the service, incorporating Business and stakeholder

requirements, and alignment with the overarching IT Strategy › Establish a clear roadmap with your team that aligns priorities with strategic goals › Manage all service risk and security requirements, escalating where there are gaps and delivering

both tactical and strategic remediation plans › Manage and ensure complete implementation of ISO27001 / Right Fit For Risk controls as well as

processes to ensure continued ISO27001 compliance › Deliver process improvement through constant review both internally and external partners › Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure consistent storage and backup

provisioning, uptime, regulatory compliance and data protection › Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems and cloud

environments to aid management in making implementation decisions › Manage operational costs, perform financial forecasting, identify and deliver cost saving initiatives › Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory, life

cycle management and related documentation › Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and

intrusion detection systems › Manage and ensure effectiveness, performance and operations of Azure cloud environment › Plan, acquire, and coordinate installation of in-house and remote hardware and software across the

associated operating systems, software and performance › Responsible for off-site data centres and on-site data cabinets › Manage and ensure optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment, including routers,

switches and UPSs › Oversee the administration of user accounts, permissions, and access rights in AD

› Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for IT projects and associated efforts in conjunction with other members of the IT management team

› Establishes and owns service level agreements with end users for Level 3 tasks › Conduct research and make recommendations on network products, services, protocols, and

standards in support of network procurement and development efforts › Ensure regular one on one meetings take place with all team members and conduct formal

appraisal meetings › Conduct regular skills gap analysis on the Infrastructure Team and make recommendations to your

Manager including the development of training plans › Recruitment & Selection of new staff, and manage the induction process as appropriate, identifying

and arranging training and providing guidance and coaching to new team members › Create a daily process check list and once implemented sign-off daily task lists verifying they are

complete › Comply with all WHS procedures ensuring that team members including volunteers and contractors

abide by all relevant health and safety procedures › Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours and report all accidents, incidents or

› Demonstrated technical and managerial experience in an Infrastructure environment supporting a
