    Team/Role Overview

The Resourcing Manager partners with project managers, consulting teams and Human Resources to ensure an effective and efficient allocation of consultant resources.

The role has an ANZ remit and will see you build trusted relationships with consulting staff, principals and senior management to suitably resource external client and internal R&D projects based on required skill sets and sector experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build positive working relationships with project managers, resourcing representatives and consulting teams, to understand their resourcing requirements.
  • Manage the resourcing of new and ongoing project teams, by providing resource options to Project Managers based on skills, expertise and availability.
  • Proactively identify, escalate and resolve resourcing challenges by identifying resourcing options, negotiating staff assignments with project managers and principals, and adjusting individual staff plans as needed.
  • Incorporate recurring client requirements and strategic firm initiatives in planning and resourcing.
  • Encourage project teams to keep their plans current and accurate in the Salesforce Resource Planner.
  • Contribute to the engagement and retention of consulting staff through resourcing strategies that alleviate high and low utilisation, allow access to diverse and interesting work, and assist staff to achieve their personal development goals.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the various practice area skillsets, client requirements and business needs to inform resource allocation and strategic workforce planning.
  • Maintain and further develop the resource planning infrastructure, own and distribute regular reports on resource planning outcomes (target and actual) and staff capacity, and share insights with relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead the strategic resourcing process and provide guidance and support to the consultant project team resourcing representatives.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of our resource management processes.

Essential skills and experience

  • Previous experience in resource management, project management or workforce planning within professional services, financial services or a corporate environment
  • Demonstrated analytical and problemsolving skills using a variety of business planning tools
  • Ability to build trusted relationships at all levels in an organisation and thrive in a dynamic, fastpaced and collegial environment
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple resourcing requests
  • A consultative and collaborative approach
  • Highly organised with strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Proficient in Excel and data analysis; intermediate skills in other Microsoft Office programs
