An exciting opportunity has arisen for a

Creative Director to join a dynamic team at FINE-DAY.


Reporting to the Director of Lifestyle Brands, this role will lead and oversee the design, development and sourcing of the FINE-DAY product range that represents a premium offer in the marketplace.

The Creative Director will also be responsible for overseeing the brand's aesthetic, tone of voice, messaging and creative content.

THE ROLE

  • Design & development of the FINE-DAY range in keeping with brand image, option plan, price points and margin
  • Develop a Strategic Design Brief which will cater for the FINE-DAY core customer
  • Research and development into emerging trends & markets
  • Conducting competitor analysis in both domestic and international markets.
  • Brief offshore agents/vendors to meet the requirements of the product provide spec sheets and work with vendors and agents on selection of raw materials and components.
  • Manage and communicate ideas and growth opportunities for the business to the Executive Management Team
  • Lead and develop the product development and design team to ensure they are equipped and motivated to achieve functional goals.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Product Design & Development
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to build & bring product designs to life aligning to brand and mission
  • Experience sourcing and working with overseas vendors; in particular China and India
  • Strong fabric and technical knowledge
  • Proven experience in successfully leading teams
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and problem solving skills
