About the position


The absolute waterfront location on the pristine shores of Port Stephens provides a unique haven where five-star excellence, effortless luxury, flexible spaces and exclusive dining combine.

With spaces ranging from intimate to grand, we can cater from groups of two to more than 200.


Reporting directly to the Group Hotel Manager, the Event Sales Manager role is responsible for leading the Conference and Events space on a day-to-day basis, driving the event revenue through chasing leads and converting enquiries into booked business for the property.

Responsibility of creating new client relationships whilst maintaining existing ones.

This position is Full-Time, with some evening and weekend work required during major events on occasion.

About you


This role requires someone with great relationship building skills, a flair for sales, and the ability to lead and work alongside a small team.

You will ideally have at least 3 years' experience in conferencing and event management, with previous hotel experience preferred.

You will possess a strong client service focus, innovative thinking, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to work to strict and conflicting deadlines.

This role requires someone with great relationship building skills and a network of industry contacts.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquiring new business while maintaining our current portfolio of existing clients for inhouse events.
  • Point of contact for the beginning to end of the event booking and enquiries.
  • Manage event schedules
  • Conduct property site inspections.
  • Ensuring all documentation is accurate and timely in our CRM system.

  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent grooming standards
