The opportunity
Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for an APS6 level Liaison Officer to join the Complex Support Needs branch.

18-month initial Labour Hire contract with the opportunity to extend. APS 6 level role offering $58.50 hourly + Superannuation. To be based out of either Shepparton or Ballarat.

This is a hybrid position offering 2 days working from home, with the remaining 3 on site. 37.5-hour work weeks, with 7.5-hour work days.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with Agency business areas to ensure participants have appropriate supports in place within health or justice settings, and when transitioning into communities.
  • Assisting to address challenges or delays in access or planning decisions, ensuring timely and safe transitions back into the community
  • Providing guidance and advice regarding NDIS processes and procedures.
  • Supporting potential participants in hospital or justice settings to access the NDIS.
  • Developing initiatives to build networks across the health or justice sector, raising awareness and representing the client at networking and crossagency forums.
  • Providing clear and regular communications to promote understanding of the NDIS to external stakeholders in health or justice settings.
