The role


The Communications and Digital Content Coordinator role is a new position developed to project the voice of MLC to prospective families and the wider community.

Responsible for assisting with the delivery of digital and online communications whilst providing support to the Marketing Manager to enhance the reputation and enrolment experience of the College through marketing, communication and events.


You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to think on your feet, work in a fast-paced environment, have a knack for copywriting, understand strategy and the 'customer' needs, and be willing to learn and develop individually and in a team.

Prior experience in digital marketing, content development, public relations or online marketing is preferred.

Some of your primary duties and responsibilities will include the following:

  • Supporting the development of a comprehensive social media strategy, policies/procedures and associated content plan per channel
  • Responsible for creating, editing, and publishing engaging digital content and coordinating PR activity that drives website traffic, increases social media engagement, and supports the marketing and communication goals of MLC
  • Create and successfully deliver and enhance strategic communication for prospective families as they move along the enrolment journey including digital and print materials
  • Create, project manage, and promote marketing initiatives in both digital and ABL media
  • Liaise with students, teachers and administrative staff, parents and alumnae to identify content opportunities and promote the College's achievements and culture
  • Track, measure, and analyse the annual digital strategy plan to establish ROI reporting, such as audience growth, engagement, content reach and journey.

About You

  • A bachelor's degree or qualification in Digital Content, Communications, or Advertising.
  • 5+ years experience in a digital communications or marketing role, including online content development (web content, digital copywriting, social media), digital marketing, or communications or similar.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to write for various audiences and mediums with strategic intent
  • Understanding of the digital media landscape, including platforms, purpose and audiences
  • A current Working with Children Check and Police Check
  • Be a strategic thinker, open to ideas, striving for excellence and have a high level of integrity
