OHS Coordinator

Guide Dogs Victoria is currently recruiting for a OHS Coordinator to be part of our People and Culture Team on part time basis (0.6) to maintain our Safety and Wellbeing Management Framework.

In this role you will be responsible to:

• Maintain and review Guide Dogs Victoria's Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ensuring that all legal and compliance requirements are met, and drive continuous improvement of safety systems and performance.
• Develop, implement and review safety and wellbeing policies and procedures and disseminate information to ensure awareness and compliance.
• Provide advice and support in all areas of occupational health and safety and build capability within people leaders and managers to create a safety culture.
• Consult with relevant areas of Guide Dogs Victoria and facilitate the Safety and Wellbeing Reference Group.
• Coordinate health and safety activities and initiatives and generate new initiatives to promote employee and volunteer wellbeing.
• Tertiary qualifications in a related field and a demonstrated track record in a similar OHS coordinator position.
• Solid understanding of OHS management principles and contemporary safety management practices.
• Ability to work in collaboration with all levels of the organisation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including influencing skills.
• A strong client and customer focus and a commitment to delivering consistent person centered quality services.
• A strong alignment with the vision of Guide Dogs Victoria in a life without limits.
