The Position
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a large and culture-focused business located in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
Working closely with the team of Accountants in a autonomous role, you will be responsible for managing the full function accounts payableprocess across multiple markets.
Your key responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:- Maintain administrative ownership of Redmap, ensuring that all invoices are coded and authorised by the relevant users in a timely and accurate manner;
- Schedule supplier (local and overseas) payments within agreed payment terms, twice a month plus ad hoc payments as required;
- Prepare month end journals including but not limited to mobile phones, landline, credit cards, etc;
- Produce monthly AP reconciliation reports and assist with preparing month end accruals;
- Prepare and process foreign currency invoices and payments, ensuring validity against shipments processed;
- Process employee expenses, ensuring they are approved for reimbursements;
- Maintain company vehicles, fuel cards, tolls and leases and provide inputs for FBT tax lodgement;
- Assist with the roll out of Purchase Orders for nonstock, ensuring that users understand the end to end process and are trained to complete the process accurately;
- Assist with Auditors and External Accountant AP enquiries;
- Provide assistance to the Finance Business Partner & Senior Accounts Payable and Payroll Officer as and when required.
Skills & Experience
In addition, you will demonstrates:
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new systems and processes with ease;
- Exposure to Pronto and Redmap would be advantageous:
- Flexible work approach to meet the varying demands of an ever-changing and fast-moving environment;
- Accurate data entry skills;
- Ability to follow a processdriven environment;
- Effective and adaptive communication skills.
