The role


In this newly created role as the Consultant (Analyst), Industrial Relations, you will work with a great team responsible for the negotiation of NAB's Enterprise Agreement.

Your role will consist of preparing for internal and external meetings including data analysis, assisting in the drafting of Enterprise Agreement provisions, and associated explanatory materials.

You will also be required to help the team with industrial relations BAU matters.

This role would suit a colleague who is able to problem solve, take initiative, and produce results, that can collaborate effectively within a team and individual environment, and can develop warm stakeholder relationships.


Your opportunity

  • Assisting in the interpretation of data, deriving insights, and preparing materials to assist stakeholders in understanding those insights.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of internal team governance, including the creation of appropriate governance processes and documentation to ensure all compliance obligations are met.
  • Assisting in managing and providing advice in relation to NAB's IR framework, including industrial instruments, associated tools, and policies/guidelines.
  • Assisting in providing coaching, support and guidance to internal stakeholders within NAB through the preparation of policies, guidelines, training materials and workshops.

What you will bring

  • Ideally 3+ years' demonstrated experience with relation to the understanding and workings of Employment Law, this can be from a Human Resources capacity (broadly), ER/IR/Workplace relations, Employment Law/Lawyer capacity.
  • Ability to problem solve and deliver in complex, sometimes ambiguous environments
  • Intermediate use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Teams)
  • Proactively manage risk in all essence of the word, controls, compliance, breaches, escalations, and ongoing reviews
  • HR/IR or similar relevant tertiary qualifications are desired
