About the opportunity:


Our maintenance team are seeking a self-motivated Electrical/Instrumentation Group Leader/Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate to make a difference.

This is a newly created position in recognition of our business growth and commitment to our people. The role will work a Sportsperson's roster day shift pattern, however there may be a requirement to work on a Monday

  • Friday shift. You will be joining a diverse and highly motivated team and have the opportunity to make your mark in a high performing team.
You will directly supervise a team of Electrical/Instrumentation Technicians and be responsible for their development and growth.

The scope of this role also includes the oversight of Mechanical Technician's on shift as well as the supervision and management of contractors to deliver work on site.


_Key responsibilities include:
_

  • Fostering a strong safety and quality culture to ensure understanding and adherence to WesCEF procedures and safety requirements.
  • Delivering against corporate KPIs and business objectives.
  • Providing direct supervision and coaching of Electrical/Instrumentation technicians to develop a high performing team.
  • Providing general oversight of Mechanical Technicians on shift, ensuring basic safety requirements are met and priorities are managed appropriately.
  • Develop and foster positive relationships with Operations and Despatch teams and collaborate to resolve breakdowns safely and promptly.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement, proactively identifying opportunities to create value.
  • Overseeing shutdown work including the supervision of contractors.
  • Ensuring the completion and record keeping of maintenance activities are in accordance with statutory requirements including Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) and Gas Fitting.
  • Working collaboratively with the planning team to scope and execute planned maintenance work.

About you:

You will possess an Electrical, Instrumentation or dual trade qualification, as a minimum.

Previous supervisory experience in a similar role within the minerals or heavy processing industries, with a primary focus on maintenance.

You are proficient and hands-on in your leadership style and enjoy working with a range of people across the organisation.


  • Proven ability to lead work teams and operate at multiple levels and disciplines
  • Proven ability to influence and mentor others in HSE principles and behaviours
  • Recognised Trade certificate and WA Electrical trade licence is essential
  • Dual trade qualification in electrical/instrumentation is required, with a Cert III in Instrument and Control or Cert IV in Electrical
  • Instrumentation
  • Cert IV in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) (desirable)
  • Working knowledge of ERP platforms, JDE, Oracle or SAP require
  • Low voltage rescue (LVR) and CPR (desirable)
  • High voltage switching operations (desirable)
  • Working at Heights and High risk EWP licence (desirable)
