The Opportunity

This exciting new role will aim to provide support to the Branch Operations Manager by controlling, directing and maximising the productivity and effectiveness of our Alice Springs branch operations.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Implementation of operational changes to increase efficiency and productivity as directed by the Branch Operations Manager
  • Accountable for branch cost control, efficiencies and utilisation monitored through the performance review process
  • Monitor movement of the fleet to ensure safe, cost effective, and reliable distribution of freight
  • Foster the company culture of commitment to being the best and enforce company values
  • Ensure that the appropriate policies, procedures, and organisation structures are in place
  • Drive local hire and ensure usage of branch based assets
  • Maximise back loading capability
  • Any other relevant duties as requested by the Branch Operations Manager

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Management OR equivalent industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience supervising a supply chain and logistics operations
  • General freight consolidation experience
  • Leadership, mentoring, and supervisory skills
  • Cost control focused
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft package suite of programs
