Centrefarm is dedicated to providing benefits to Aboriginal Landowners in the Northern Territory (NT) by driving the commercial and sustainable development of their lands. Our close collaboration with the Central and Northern Land Councils plays a crucial role in these efforts.

Our main responsibility is to identify commercially viable opportunities on Aboriginal land at scale and nurture them to establish new regional economies.

About the role: Oversee and actively participate in the day-to-day operations of the Ali Curung Work Experience Pilot Project (WEPP).

Qualifications & Experience:

• Excellent stakeholder communication skills
• Hands-on experience with various farming systems and crops, including irrigation, farm machinery operation, plot preparation, planting, crop care, harvest, packing, and logistics
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Project work experience with budget reporting capabilities
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ochre Card (working with children), Cert IV certification highly beneficial

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and mentorship
• Offer administrative support for training activities
• Ensure a safe working environment for WEPP participants
• Contribute to the development and management of the training farm
• Collaborate with trainers and local organizations on farming activities
• Assist in managing the training facility
