Salary offered:
$100,000 + superannuation

We are looking for a full-time Specialized Mechanical Engineer Technician to join our Team. The person will be in charge of the assembly and installation of our automatic lines at our Customers premises.

Moreover, the person will be responsible for providing primary support and service assistance for all technical issues, conducting tests of mechanical systems, collecting and analysing data and assembling equipment.


Job Requirements

  • Longterm experience and knowledge in the Mechanical Technical field;
  • At least 3 years relevant work experience;
  • High expertise and familiarity with related tools required (e.g. hand and power tools);
  • Fabrication and assembly skills (cutting, welding & drilling);
  • Availability to travel;
  • Valid driving license;
  • Reliability, flexibility and precision.
  • Carry out routine maintenance, repair, and adjustment of Unitec grading machines, equipment, and control systems to ensure they are operating within specifications, regulations, and contract provisions;
  • Assist in the installation of mechanical instruments and control systems, as well as the assembly of new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools, and controls, and hydraulic power systems;
  • Provide technical assistance to Unitec clients on correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions and ensure optimal performance;
  • Collect and analyze data to assist in the design and modification of mechanical equipment and plant;
  • Carry out field and laboratory tests to ensure equipment and systems are functioning properly;
  • Estimate material costs and quantities to ensure projects are completed within budget;
  • Organize and supervise inspection and maintenance of machines and plant to ensure they are in good condition;
  • Ensure that designs and finished work are within specifications, regulations, and contract provisions to meet quality standards.
