About the Role

Free Folk Agency is looking for an Account Manager or Senior Account Executive (PR & influencer) to join the team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about earned media relations and influencer partnerships and seeking an agency that offers rapid career growth for high-performing team members.

This is a versatile position, available in our Brisbane or newly established Melbourne office, alongside our sibling agency - Ivy Talent Co.

What you'll be involved in

PR and Influencer:

  • Devising, presenting, and implementing PR and influencer strategies for clients, emphasizing earned media for PR campaigns and innovative concepts for influencer campaigns that drive business impact in the end.
  • Creating and brainstorming compelling media approaches that cut through, have an impact for clients, and garner media coverage across various platforms such as TV, radio, print, digital, and social media.
  • Producing captivating and imaginative content for media materials including press releases, fact sheets, notes, editorials, customized pitches, as well as crafting easy-to-understand influencer briefs, strategies, and reports.
  • Establishing and managing media and influencer lists.
  • Utilizing your existing network of media professionals, influencers, and talent managers, while also forming new relationships to secure media coverage and negotiate talent agreements.
  • Being responsible for attaining specific coverage targets and generating high-quality PR coverage
  • Organizing media gifting initiatives with unique merchandise, product incorporations, and printed materials.

Account Management:

  • Interacting directly with clients and engaging in consultative, advisory discussions about the media and influencer landscape.
  • Coordinating projects and managing teams to achieve outcomes
  • Conducting post-campaign evaluations to assess activities against business outcomes and providing suggestions to clients focusing on industry trends, best practices, and opportunities to enhance their operations.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with client partners, team members, media contacts, and influencers.
  • Applying strategic problemsolving skills to recognize potential challenges, troubleshoot, and implement solutions that deliver results meeting our objectives.
  • Collaborating with colleagues throughout the organization to ensure seamless integration of all client campaigns for successful outcomes
  • Regularly analyzing ongoing and completed campaigns, and reporting on results and efforts made to enhance performance

What we expect from you

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in PR, journalism, or influencer marketing.
  • Prior agency experience is essential.
  • Robust personal network of media, influencers, and talent managers.
  • Familiarity with the media landscape and a strong enthusiasm for PR, influencer marketing, and events.
  • Excellent copywriting, proofreading, and grammar skills, along with the ability to engage various target audiences.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building capabilities.
  • An outcome-oriented approach with a dedication to delivering results.
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team, taking cues from your Account Director.
  • A demonstrable record of successful PR and influencer marketing campaigns that you can share with us.
  • Solid organizational abilities, multitasking skills, and ability to work within deadlines.
